PROJECT DESCRIPTION

A truly inspired triplex, designed by award winning Australian architects. SDS Engineering is proud to be engaged by one of our industry partners for all aspects of this development, including:

  • Structural design, documentation and certification

  • Stormwater design, documentation and certification

  • Geotechnical Investigation

    • The design process on such architecturally demanding projects is quite involved. Open communication between the architects and our design team was of the essence, and allowed the process to be fluid and enjoyable. Notable points of mention in this project include:

  • A completely offset first floor

  • Cantilevered blockwork party walls

  • Double cantilevered roofs

  • Exposed feature structural steel members

    • A full geotechnical site investigation was conducted by SDS in site soil classification to the requirements of AS2870 and the design of suitable foundations.

    SDS Engineering is currently engaged in the revision of existing stormwater plans, in a bid to minimise the fill requirements associated with the development and minimise impact on the existing catchment hydrology.
